At Senshi Martial Arts, we want our juniors to excel. We encourage those interested to enter local and national competitions and those that do or want to in the future are invited to join our special Squad Training sessions.

These are held twice a month on a Saturday morning 10am and last for two hours, with a focus on sparring and competition techniques.

If your child has been invited to attend Squad Training, please purchase a ticket below and note their name and the date for the session they will be attending.

Why do competitions?

Competitions have a number of benefits:

• Builds self confidence and self esteem.
• Gives a huge sense of achievement.
• Develops a sense of team and social skills interacting with your team mates and fellow competitors.
• Develops empathy and understanding that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, and the related skill of being able to win and lose gracefully.
• Teaches them new techniques.
• Takes them out of their comfort zone for new experiences.
• Gives them new targets to aim for and stops them becoming complacent.
• Helps kids learn the value of hard work and consistency in that it’s not always the best and brightest who are successful, it’s the ones that work hard and stick with it.
